The collegiate wrestling scene in the US is one of the most-followed sports in the world. With some incredible wrestling clubs across the nation, the Penn State Nittany Lions are undoubtedly among the most coveted ones thanks to their long list of star athletes. While the NLWC is responsible for producing many highly decorated wrestlers across the years, Olympic gold medalist David Taylor is probably their biggest name. And now, Taylor once again has something to be proud of in his alma mater.

Last year, Penn State Health and Penn State College of Medicine pledged to contribute to curing childhood cancer in the country with hopes of extending their operations across more countries in the future. Now, it looks like the commitment is yielding results and Taylor couldn’t have been happier.

$16,955,683 raised to support children & families battling childhood cancer“, elaborated the three-time World Championships gold medalist wrestler and the accompanying short video clip captured his emotions with precision. The video shows the Olympian making his way back to the Penn State campus with his daughter by his side to a thundering crowd who looked overwhelmed to see one of their greatest athletes of all time return.

While Taylor justifiably has reasons to be proud of his university’s monumental achievement, his daughter looked equally elated to see the respect her father still commands at Penn State. With the road to Paris opening up, Penn State’s Olympic dreams are looking bright, and Taylor’s beaming face couldn’t hide the high hopes.
