For wrestling fans of the country, 2023 wouldn’t be a year to forget anytime soon. That year, the USA men’s wrestling team won its first back-to-back world team title in history, ushering a new dawn for the sport. Naturally, their exploits act as a significant inspiration for both fans and athletes across the nation, and Olympic medalist Adeline Gray isn’t devoid of elation either.

Gray has had an incredible run herself at the World Championships with six gold at the tournament over the years. However, the benchmark set by the men’s wrestling team will continue to raise the bar for the new generations. A gift from the history-making team to mark their special feat had Adeline Gray getting emotional recently and for good reasons.

Gray took to Instagram to show off a special relic that aims to underscore the incredible achievement of the USA men’s wrestling team’s World Championships accolades in 2022 and 2023. Flaunting a massive Super Bowl-eque ring, Adeline highlighted what the back-to-back win exactly means for the wrestlers of the country. The caption of Gray’s Instagram story reads, “proud of this team and look forward to another powerful year!“.

Gray can be seen sporting a huge golden ring on her hand that’s etched with “World Championships 2023” while a flyer of the iconic team can be seen in the background. The flyer shows all the wrestlers who contributed to the USA’s history-making moment including David Taylor, Kyle Dake, Kyle Snyder, and Vito Arujau, all of whom won gold in Belgrade. While the wrestlers can be seen beaming proudly in the flyer, it looks like their emotions spilled onto Gray as well.

In another image from the same series, the side of the Championship ring can be seen which boasts “BACK2BACK” in a triumphant manner. Studded with precious jewels, the ring does justice to the men’s wrestling team’s remarkable achievement, and with the Paris Olympics coming up, it will serve as a reminder as to what “bringing glory” truly means.
