This has come as a surprise for many since Jacob and Mark are Austin natives. Moreover, the WWE Hall of Famer has actively shared his love for the Texas Longhorns on multiple occasions. But Jacob has chosen his own path and joined hands with Oklahoma Wrestling. Interestingly, Jacob is a dual athlete who also plays football.
But, despite being a three-star rated defensive prospect, he chose wrestling as his primary sport. According to 247 Sports, the future Oklahoma Wrestling star said, “Looking into college I didn’t really know what I wanted to do… I started getting to talk to a few college coaches who were at nationals, and that is when I met coach Teyon Ware from OU.”
Jacob Henry further said, “I really liked Coach Ware, and getting to meet the coaching staff, the wrestlers, and getting to feel the environment of OU just made me feel at home.” The new Oklahoma Wrestling commit received congratulations from all directions for his move. In fact, even WWE Superstar John Cena celebrated the new chapter in Jacob’s life.
