Combined with the Pan Am Games, Kyle Snyder now has 10 Pan Am gold medals. Considering that Snyder had cleared the semifinal round with an 11–0 technical fall, Arturo Silot Torres put up a competitive fight. The 22-year-old however, had to settle for the the silver medal once again, just like his 2022 Pan American Championship bout with Snyder.

He had also surpassed everyone at the Pan American Games in 2023, but couldn’t beat Snyder, and took the silver home from Santiago once again. Kyle Snyder, however, will have to be wary of the battle experience Torres is gaining. Especially when he was badly overcome by another young wrestler at the 2023 World Wrestling Championship.

When Kyle Snyder faced an unknown adversity at 2023 Belgrade

Bahraini wrestler Akhmed Tazhudinov astonished everyone when he caused two big upsets at the 2023 World Championship in Belgrade. Kyle Snyder was one of the stepping stones for the 21-year-old’s maiden world gold and was defeated by a staunch 11-0 margin. Even his eternal Russian rival, Abdulrashid Sadulaev, couldn’t defeat the Bahrainian. However, Snyderman will look forward to turning things around soon.

Kyle Snyder won the gold medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics but was dispatched with a silver in 2020 Tokyo by Sadulaev. The NLWC wrestler has been working hard to reclaim the top spot at the Olympics once again. But now, he will have to face Sadulaev, Tazhudinov, as well as an improved Torres at the Paris Olympics.
