Jordan Burroughs stands among the wrestling elites with a career adorned by several championships, titles, awards, and honors. His love of wrestling started when he was five and became the first member of his family to ever wrestle. Burroughs was good enough not only at wrestling but also at playing football and track. Jordan ended his high school wrestling journey with three-time district champion, and two-time regional champion, winning state and national championships with 115 wins and 20 losses.

In 2006, his freshman career began and ended with 16 wins and 13 losses, along with an NCAA qualifier. Since then, he never looked back, and won four gold in Big 12 Champions, with one Bronze. Two gold and one Bronze in the NCAA division, and four gold in the US Open Championships. That’s not all, Burroughs’ desire to win all gold, led him to win six Grand Prix gold, four gold at the Yasar Dogu Tournament, participated in six Pan American Championships, and won all gold.

Burroughs’ career took a significant leap in 2012 when he entered the London Olympics with a desire to win his first Olympic gold. His determination and desire to win made him win the first gold or ever medal in the Olympics at just 24 years old. This Olympic win made him one of wrestling’s bright and shining stars. With an unparalleled record of 130-2 win-loss in all these years, led him to the Rio Olympics of 2016.
