Taylor won the gold medal in the 86kg weight class in Tokyo and is looking forward to extending his reign. David Taylor took to Instagram and added a new story featuring the image of the Paris Olympics medals shared by the Olympics. Captioning the post, Taylor wrote, “GOLD LOOKS GOOD.” These words show that the Nittany Lion has his eye locked on his target.

This story update comes as a contrast to a story he uploaded back in December 2023. Sharing the image of his world championship gold medals, David Taylor had humorously written, “Cleaning out some drawers and found these ole things.” But it seems like he may not be able to say the same about the Paris Olympics medals even as a joke.

After all, Taylor isn’t the only one appreciating the gorgeous look of the Paris Olympics medals. Kyle Dake also took to Instagram and shared a story featuring a reel that displayed an animation of the new Olympic gold.

The designing of these medals has been specially done by LVMH’s Chaumet Jewelry Workshop situated in 12 Place Vendôme in the heart of Paris Square. The centerpiece of the medal bearing the ‘Paris 2024’ insignia has been fitted using “griffe setting”, seen for the precious gemstones in its high jewelry pieces.
