Recently, in the no-name podcast “NO NAME PODCAST EP.1: THE MAGICIAN & CAMERAMANDAN,” he shared his opinion on YouTube. He also mentions his interest in documenting his journey after his four weeks off.
Taylor shared that often people ask him how he remains strong as he only practices in the pieces of training, to which he replied, “Every day for me is a world championship; every practice for me is tougher than pretty much every match of the rest of the world championship.”
His resilience and the performances of all the NLWC players made him believe that the title would be theirs if all of them were selected under one team. The statistics of all the performers have always worked out for them as a team. Even though all of them are individual players, their dedication and techniques have made Tayor’s words more prominent.

Talor’s wrestling journey started as a freestyle wrestler in 2010, when he claimed the National Title from his University to his name. Later in 2012, the wrestler set a new record of 3-2 when he participated in the US Olympic Team Trials. However, in 2021, he missed the World Championship and stood as a runner-up against Hassan Yazdani. But! But! He made a huge comeback in the 2022 World Championship by pinning Yazdani and taking the title all to himself.

Taylor has become the most decorated international wrestler in program history. He has won three world titles since 2018, then made history at the 2020 Summer Games in Tokyo by becoming the first Penn State wrestler to win an Olympic gold medal. Taylor’s win qualified the U.S. for the 86 kg freestyle weight class at the 2024 Olympics.
