Along a similar line, the 2023 U20 World champion Mitchell Mesenbrink celebrated his decision regarding the Nittany Lions.

Hailing from Hartland Wisconsin, Mitchell has not only thrilled his fans through his spectacular Wrestling performance but also made a notable decision to transfer to Penn State with great future vision. The Four-time Wisconsin state place winner Mitchell, took to his official X handle to share the biggest moment of his life. Let’s have a look.

Mesenbrink rejoices his transfer to Penn State

After announcing the commitment to wrestle for the 2023 NCAA champions Penn State University, Mitchell Mesenbrink is now appreciating his decision. He captioned his post as ‘’Joining Nittany Nation is the best choice i’ve ever made!! We ARE⚪️🦁🔵’’ 2022 U20 world silver medalist at 70 kg, Mitchell re-shared the feat of the Penn State/NLWC (Nittany Lions Wrestling Club) Fan post along with his picture.

After wrestling as a Redshirt Freshman for California Baptist University in 2022-23, Mitchell Mesenbrink announced his notable transfers of the off-season on 21st April, 2023. He decided to wrestle for the Pennsylvania State University in 2023 NCAA championship.

Mesenbrink’s commitment to Penn State

Mesenbrink previously shared his statement regarding the wild accusations made over the athlete’s transfers. Previously, the allegations have been made that certain programs are paying big bucks to get elite transfers from other programs. Mesenbrink completely denied this statement and claimed “it was not his experience.”

While other official visits were looming round the corner, Mesenbrink cancelled upon them owing to his visit to Penn State. He remarked, “I didn’t really need to see much else…I knew. I want to be there.” Ultimately, Penn State had his entire confidence which prevented him from dwelling on other choices.

For Mesenbrink, his decision circles down to trust. Penn State has an undisputed record in producing the best wrestlers. It has thus earned him confidence that will help him reach the zenith in wrestling. “I trust these people…I think I can be an Olympic gold medalist and beyond with their training.” Hence, Mesenbrink values his decision to stick with Penn State among other lucrative options, and he is highly proud of it.
