AJ Ferrari had recently entered a very controversial altercation with an Iowa Hawkeyes wrestler on the mats of the Soldiers Salute event. The match saw Ferrari picking up the win against his opponent, Zach Glazier of Iowa. However, a post-match clash between the two ended in something dreadful.
Responding to his indignation due to the clash, AJ flipped two birdies at the Iowa wrestler. The referee flipped the decision of AJ’s win right away and disqualified him. However, it turns out that the Iowa Hawkeyes haven’t done the same. In fact, a recent social media post of Ferrari showed him inside the Hawkeyes gym.

AJ Ferrari recently added a video of a workout session from the Hawkeyes gym on his Instagram page. Captioning the post, Ferrari wrote, “Maintaining serious explosive power and strength – even though I’m down over 20lbs from the off-season. It’s all about discipline in my diet and lifestyle.”

He further wrote, “Mr. Fast Twitch is now walking around at 207lbs. 4% body fat. Lean. Mean. Fighting. Machine. My simple formula that makes me the strongest, and most explosive 197-pounder ever… Superior Hard Work + Superior Italian Genetics granted from my creator God who made me in His image.”
While AJ Ferrari was super upset about the decision made by the referee a few days ago, he seems better than normal now. While his words and his body language don’t express any sort of bad blood with Iowa, they also don’t project any cheerfulness. Thus, until an official word comes, it remains to be seen whether Mr. Fast Twitch will be a Hawkeye or not. This is especially true when just recently, Ferrari advertised himself as a free agent to every wrestling program, but in a weird way.

While AJ may seem in control at the moment, he is actually losing out on time. The 2023-24 NCAA Wrestling season will soon reach its conclusion, and AJ Ferrari will be left high and dry for another year. While it is unclear what his Iowa situation is right now, he really needs to join a team quickly if he wishes to make this season count. Do you think Ferrari will be able to land an NCAA team before March?
