Wrestlers undergo rigorous training regimes due to the fine line between victory and defeat, often measured in split seconds and strategic moves. With the new season commencing, teams are once again preparing with unwavering determination to achieve success and eliminate mistakes.

Penn State’s wrestling team is working consistently to produce champions. After taking a short break from wrestling, the team has recently returned to the mat. Therefore, a key contender on the team has granted the spectators the opportunity to have a glimpse into Penn State’s daily routine.

Through the eyes of Roman Bravo Young

Commonly known as the 125-pound undefeated wrestling king, Roman Bravo Young is under the spotlight nowadays. After taking a break of nearly two months, Bravo decided to show a glimpse of his training regime as a part of the team. 

He took to his YouTube account and posted a video of his daily routine. He penned,What it’s like to wrestle at the Penn State.” As per the video, Bravo wakes up early in the morning and leaves for the Wrestling complex. After reaching there, Bravo starts practicing on the mat after stretching. 

Then wrestlers start practicing, learning new moves and specialized techniques with each other as opponents. After hours of practice, Bravo returns home and reaches the wrestling club at 1:30 for team practice, where Cael Sanderson delivers intense training sessions to make sure every wrestler is up to the mark. At 7 PM, Bravo returns to Coach Sam Calavitta, where he opts for cycling. But what is Penn State preparing for?

Oregon State vs. Penn State

Penn State is considered among the top-seeded teams. Recently, Penn State returned to the mat after a month-long break for a non-conference match. Currently, Penn State features eight undefeated wrestlers, including Bravo, that coach Cael Sanderson will be juggling based on availability.

Now Penn State is looking forward to locking horns with ranking opponent Oregon State at Corvallis in the upcoming match scheduled to take place Friday at 8 PM. While Nittany Lions have a remarkable score of 2-0, Oregon State has secured 4-1 in the past few matches. Will the Nittany Lions be able to overcome intense pressure from Oregon State?
