The Olympic Games have been one of the most prominent sporting events. The quadrennium event is about to hit the grounds of the French capital, and the hype is getting real with each passing day. The opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics 2024 is going to be as exquisite as the whole event itself. Authorities are putting their noses to the grindstone to make the Olympics premiere historic.
If some reports are to be believed, then the prelude ceremony, which is scheduled to happen on July 26, is going to be the most radiant opening in the history of the Olympics. So much so that it might outshine the iconic 2008 Beijing Olympic opening gala.

As per the reports from Le Monde, a humongous number of 326,000 tickets will be sold, or else they will be distributed for free for the Paris Olympics 2024 ceremony. Fans will gather at the River Seine to witness the historic event unfold. Gérald Darmanin, the interior minister, states, “We will have 104,000 spectators on the lower bank who have paid for a ticket.” He further added, “Then you have 222,000 people on the higher banks (with free tickets).”
As per his further statement, approximately 200,000 fans will also be witnessing the open-air procession from the buildings surrounding the Seine River. A special open-air boat parade is being organized to make this occasion extra special. All these efforts are made to match the level of the 2008 Beijing Olympics or even get past the latter hosts.

What makes Beijing’s inaugural ceremony so special is that there were an astounding 15,000 performers with a colossal television reach of 2 billion people. This also marked the highest number of people ever watching a show on television. With the bar already high, the Paris Olympics 2024 reportedly will also have dark clouds forming over the event.
Every rose has its thorn
As per some reports, the opening ceremony of the event is under threat of a potential terrorist attack. The number of spectators watching the event from bridges and streets, initially estimated to be around 600,000, has been brought down to only 222,000 for the same reason. Emmanuel Macron, the president of France, ordered the cutdown as the event is being held in a public place rather than a stadium or a closed space, which also compromises security.
