The Olympics are a global event that brings the world together at one stage. Every person in the entry world desperately waits for four long years before witnessing the sporting extravaganza. Even the most famous personalities from across the globe get excited about the event. Legendary Hollywood actor Will Smith is one such name.
Following his controversy at the 2022 Oscars, Smith was at the receiving end of a lot of criticism. But, the movie star did not let this bring him down as he justified his actions. Will was once in Britain, promoting his new film, and during that time, he stopped by to meet with members of Great Britain’s Olympics team.

Will Smith says he has no Olympic aspiration
The famed celebrity went on tour to promote his movie, ‘Men in Black 3.’ While on tour in Britain, Will stopped by the Ethos Sports Center to meet with the athletes and engage in some activities.
He met with basketball player Drew Sullivan, hurdler Perri Shakes-Drayton, Boxer Anthony Joshua, and triple jumper Yamile Aldama. While spending time with them, Smith said he had “no sporting aspirations.”
“That’s the first time I’ve ever done the hurdles and the triple jump and had any interaction with it, so I’m gonna go ice myself down,” said Will. He also added by saying that these sports are way harder than they look on TV.
Will has played the role of one of boxing’s all-time greats, Muhammad Ali, in his biopic movie. Talking about the same that he has a little taste of the work that needs to be done, but the real deal is on a whole other level of conditioning. He also added that he has forgotten most of his training from the movie.
While the star may not be cut for the Olympics, he’s certainly qualified enough to be the celebrity that he is today.
Michael Johnson on Smith’s Oscar controversy
The world was shocked to see Smith walk up to Chris Rock and smack the comedian. Will made it abundantly clear that he did not like the joke about his wife. Whether the moment was scripted or not became a hot topic of discussion. US Olympic champion Michael Johnson also weighed in on the topic.
Johnson said that he did not buy it. He said that those were two of the smartest guys and knew how to entertain people better than anyone else present.

However, we still don’t believe that Will wouldn’t have made a great Olympic athlete. Especially not after seeing the determination with which he takes up a task.
