That will be the third time “La La Land” will host the biggest athletic event. The city has previously witnessed the grand display of athletic prowess in 1932 and 1984. Official Dates for the LA28 Games

Los Angeles will host the LA28 Olympic ceremony on July 14, 2028, which will officially kick start the supreme athletic event. The gala will continue for 17 days, concluding on July 30, 2028, with a grand closing ceremony. Los Angeles won the bid for the 2028 Olympics in 2017 at the 131st IOC Session in Lima, Peru. With that, it became the third city after London and Paris to host the Olympics three times and the only non-European to do so.

After the conclusion of the summer events, Los Angeles will then host the Paralympics from August 15, 2028, to August 27, 2028. However, unlike the summer events, LA will host the Paralympics for the first time, marking a historic moment for the Paralympic movement in the United States.

Skateboarding, sport climbing, and surfing will feature as the core sporting category at the Los Angeles Olympics.
