She is not only emerging victorious but is also shattering prior world records. Certainly, she set 81 kg Junior Pan American records as she lifted 111 kg and 114 kg in Santiago. But this is not the only reason to celebrate as the triumph is double this time because her lift is also the new senior American snatch record.
Olivia Reeves, competing in the 81 kg category, holds a previous record of a bronze medal at the 2023 IWF Championship. She also snatched 110 kg and made a new senior American Record of 138 Kg at the Junior National Championship. Reeve is an exceptionally talented weightlifter who is yet to unfold.

Although Reeves is among the top contenders on the plate of the USA’s team, she still needs to be qualified for the upcoming Paris Olympics. The plans for the upcoming Olympic games for weightlifting in the 81 kg category are still unknown. However, she never fails to attempt a remarkable lift, making spectators witness her move in thrill.
In an exclusive interview with the International Weightlifting Federation, U.S. director of coaching Mike Gattone said. “We’re cursed, and we’re blessed…We have two in each category fighting it out, and you can see what it does. In Cuba (at the last qualifier) Kate did better, and Olivia was crying, and this time it’s the other way around. They’re pushing the heck out of each other.”
