Chloe Kim was just around 17 when she first won her Olympic gold medal at the 2018 Olympic games. Entering as the defending champion, now 21-year-old, Kim was more confident and mature about making history for the second time.
The young American snowboarding queen has produced an astonishing performance in Beijing, leveling up from her first outing. Kim dominated whenever she stepped on the snow, and now she has won the second Olympic gold medal for the US.

Chloe Kim was an unstoppable force at the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022
In Beijing, in the snowboarding halfpipe event, Chloe was the favorite to win the Olympic gold, and she indeed lived up to the huge expectations placed on her shoulders. In the first qualification rounds, Kim took the top position, gliding her way to the finals with an 87.75 score.
Today she started her quest to defend her title, hoping to maintain the lead again. Notably, Chloe produced an extraordinary performance, scoring an event high of 94 points in the early goings alone.

As she took the first position by a huge margin, Chloe tried to create history in women’s halfpipe. Kim tried to go for the 1260 trick in her second run, as she had the chance to take the risk; however, she fell down, missing it out by a whisker.
Despite the failure to stick the landing, Kim certainly aimed to cement herself on the top. Kim is an unstoppable force, who is here to break many records; and take women snowboarding to new heights.
Chloe was emotional post her 94 performance
After producing an astonishing 94 performance in the first run, Chloe could not hold her tears back. Kim said, ”that was the best I’ve done it.” Kim became the first American female snowboarder to win two Olympic gold medals consecutively.
Kim also shared a victory post on her Instagram thanking her supporters, ”Today was insane! Thank you thank you thank you all for the love. It still hasn’t hit me yet but so so proud to bring home another gold!! ❤️❤️”
