The Nebraska Huskers Women’s Volleyball Team recently captured the Big Ten Championship trophy after a staunch clean sweep win. This was the 27th consecutive victory claimed by the Huskers in their flawless season. However, while Nebraska is currently on a dream run, it is yet to face its final test of the season.

Currently ranked at number five, the Wisconsin Badgers used to be the former numero uno team in the NCAA. However, their undisputed spot was usurped by the Nebraska Huskers on 21 October. The Badgers have been yearning for a revenge match ever since, and are ready to face the Huskers on 24 November. Will the newly crowned Big Ten Champions be able to overcome the Badgers once again?

Why will the Wisconsin Badgers get their long-sought revenge?

The Wisconsin Badgers have shown that they are more than ready to defeat the Nebraska Huskers. In fact, even in their losing effort in October, the scorecard heavily showcased the dominance of the Badgers over Nebraska. The clean-sweeping squad of Wisconsin wasn’t phased by its loss to Nebraska and has collected five more clean sweeps ever since.

The Wisconsin Badgers also carry the home-turf advantage in their matchup against the Nebraska Huskers. Notably, the Badgers have a spotless season record at home with 11 victories and zero losses cumulatively. Moreover, prior to their loss in October, Wisconsin enjoyed a 10-match winning streak against Nebraska. 

While the Badgers do carry significant advantages over their opponents, the Huskers also have a solid foundation. In fact, Nebraska hasn’t lost a single match the entire season while the Badgers have lost three. Will they be able to solidify their brimming presence on top, yet again?

Why will the Nebraska Huskers prevail once again?

The Nebraska Huskers are already on a blazing winning streak and outperformed every team that has faced them so far. However, the same can’t be said for Wisconsin, who suffered two additional losses after losing to Nebraska. Moreover, these were recent losses against powerhouse teams of Penn State and Purdue, which have already been bested by the Huskers. While Wisconsin has proven to be the stronger side in recent times, the Nebraska Huskers lead the all-time record by 20-13-1.
