The tweet carried the caption, “Excited for the chance to host and start the postseason! Hear from Coach Fisher heading into the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament.”

Speaking about the significance of another playoffs appearance, Fisher said, “We are excited to be hosting here in Pittsburgh, and we’re excited to be ACC champions. When you put together a team, or when we put together this team and started planning and had our first opening meetings, we talked about being able to host, winning an ACC championship, and hopefully winning a national championship, and so this is what we’ve been dreaming about and preparing for.”

Backed by the ambitious words of their head coach, the Pittsburgh Panthers will face Coppin State University on 1 December. The Panthers will enjoy the home-court advantage in the postseason opener and look forward to claiming the NCAA Championship.
