The NCAA Women’s Volleyball Tournament is nearing its end. All the teams are putting their best foot forward to qualify for the playoffs. Taking giant strides in the same direction, the Western Michigan Broncos achieved a major feat in their latest match.

The Broncos Women’s Volleyball Team showed exceptional skills on the volleyball court in a five-set edge-of-the-seater against the Bowling Green Falcons. The team played hard and increased their massive winning streak to 20. In fact, the team also won the Mid-American Conference Title along with another special reward.

Western Michigan Broncos hijack a losing game

The women’s team of Western Michigan Volleyball had their fans biting their nails as they almost lost their latest match. However, the fifth and final set saw the Broncos trampling the Falcons and claiming the MAC Championship. The official X account of #MACtion tweeted the result of the stellar victory of the Broncos and congratulated them. The tweet carried the caption, “THE REIGN CONTINUES. Western Michigan secures their 20th straight win to head to the NCAA tournament!” 

The victory took their overall 2023 season record to 30-2 after a grueling struggle. In fact, winning the MAC Championships also opened their doors to the NCAA Women’s Volleyball Tournament. The Western Michigan Broncos will meet several powerhouse teams on their way to the NCAA Playoffs, including the Nebraska Huskers, who are currently on a 27-0 winning streak. Apart from that, they will also face several more teams who have booked their NCAA slot after winning a championship in their conference.

The playoffs road after the end of the regular season

The Western Michigan Women’s Volleyball Team has done a fantastic job by winning the Mid American Conference title. However, the playoffs road places them before several more conference champions. The LIU Sharks recently claimed the Northeast Coast Championship after a staunch campaign and will also be looking forward to winning the national championship.

The defending NCAA Champs and the 2023 Big 12 Champs Texas Longhorns are also in the game. Not to forget, the biggest dominators in the room, The Nebraska Huskers. While Western Michigan has a winning streak of 20, the Huskers are setting the court on fire with their completely undefeated campaign. Will the Broncos be able to assert their MAC dominance in the NCAA as well?
