Just as their road to Paris 2024 begins, the volleyball community sets its full force, to achieve distinguished outcomes. With a plethora of athletes setting their eyes on the grand game and training their heads off, each of them is gearing up for Team USA to accomplish the gold. Amid this, two former gold medalist women’s volleyball players, with their previous experience of shining bright in the Olympics 2020, seem to be determined not to lose their gold this season.
One such world champion, Jordan Larson, has lately not been playing professionally, because she has been training for the bigger game – The 2024 Paris Olympics. She, along with another standout player from the Tokyo Olympics, was recently spotted on the court, aiming to repeat Team USA’s 2020 success.

In a recent interview, the three-time World Grand Prix gold winner, Larson revealed that because of her ultimate focus on the 2024 Olympics, she is doing most of her training with her team in Anaheim, California. On the other hand, Jordyn Poulter, who had been named as the ‘Best Setter at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games’, will also be representing Team USA in the Paris Olympics. 3x Olympic medalist Larson is often referred to as ‘The Governor of Nebraska’ because she was one of the best Nebraska players ever. After her successful collegiate career, Larson spent some time in Italy and China, playing professionally. He came back to her den in Nebraska last year when she took up the responsibility of the Huskers’ assistant head coach.
Meanwhile, there has been widespread speculation about Larson’s joining the Pro Volleyball league with the Omaha Supernovas. But Jordan’s dreams lie elsewhere. To fulfill that Olympic dream, she went back to training in California. If she makes it to her fourth Olympics, she will be the second-oldest female indoor volleyball player in USA’s Olympic history. On the other hand, Jordyn Poulter, the 2020 star player, is also hoping for an amazing comeback.

After her recovery from a knee injury, Poulter recently said in an interview, “A pretty significant knee injury has forced me to relearn things, she declared. She added, “I feel so fortunate also that our staff spends so much of their time working with me, trying to get me back to a place to compete for an Olympic roster spot next summer.” A former member of the Fighting Illini, the setter, led her team to make a Final Four appearance while bagging the All-American honor twice. It remains to be seen how these two ace players lead the country to glory in the upcoming big games.
