The Pro Volleyball Federation has some big plans for the future of the sport in the country. Offering former collegiate players a chance to go pro, the nascent Real Pro Volleyball is gearing up to bring an unforeseen spectacle for fans in the USA. As the teams announce their rosters, volleyball stars set eyes on making their professional debuts. On the other hand, for some teams, the process of finding harmony seems easier than others, as a recent social media post highlights.

The new volleyball league will bring both current and former players under the same fold as the inaugural edition of the Real Pro Volleyball waits to take over the country. For the Omaha Supernovas, their roster will see familiar faces rubbing shoulders together on the court and fans can’t wait to see how the team plays in the 2024 season.

In a recent post on X, formerly Twitter, the official Supernovas account has shared a heartwarming photo of two old buddies waiting together to help the Omaha team make a memorable debut. The photo shows hitters Gina Mancuso-Prososki and Jazz Schmidt posing side by side and recreating an older photo of the duo once again. Gina is one of the most decorated stars to have ever played for the Nebraska Huskers, while Jazz has been a fan since.

Schmidt, on the other hand, graduated from Creighton University and has spent her collegiate time at the Palm Beach Atlantic University too. Jazz has been a long-time fan of Gina’s accolades and their reunion as Supernovas highlights the joy in both the athletes’ faces.

Jazz & Gina | From fan to teammate“, reads the Twitter post, and Schmidt looks stoked to play alongside one her long time role models.

Jazz’s last stint saw her coaching young players at Wingate University, and surely enough she’ll be bringing that expertise on the table for her new squad as well. She also has been the recipient of the 2021 AVCA All-American honor, while Gina also boasts many similar feats during her stay at the Nebraska-Lincoln campus.
