The Nebraska Huskers women’s volleyball team has been an unstoppable force in the ongoing season. The team is currently ranked second in the NCAA rankings, and they are looking to be in a very comfortable position from here. The Nebraskan team is so dominant this season that they defeated the Penn State Nittany Lions recently in straight sets without a hiccup. Their new recruits are looking absolutely unstoppable with their ruthless offense and well-planned defense.
More so, the John Cook-led team is looking well-balanced and ready for the upcoming challenges. One of their major challenges of the year is to finish on the champion side of the Big 10, a feat for which the team has been waiting since 2017. With all the elements in place, will they succeed?

As reported by Huskers Illustrated, over eight weeks of the season are already over, and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln team is yet to be defeated. It is their freshman pack that seems to have been working out for the team. With Harper Murray emerging as one of the top outside hitters, Andi Jackson leading the defense as one of the most efficient middle blockers, and Bergen Reilly taking the attack to new heights, the squad is providing much-needed balance.
Talking about their remarkable winning streak, Merritt Beason, the junior co-captain of the team, stated, “At the end of the day, if we play our game and we play Nebraska volleyball, no one’s gonna stop us, and we’re gonna plow through whoever is put in front of us.” However, there is also a significant challenge ahead for them, and that is their longstanding rival, the Wisconsin Badgers.
Nebraska will face the Badgers this Saturday in a highly anticipated matchup. This game is also going to be a factor that will clear up the picture of both the Big Ten championship and the national championship race. The Badgers have been in red-hot form for the last few months, as they have only lost eight sets during nonconference play. But now the question lies: what happens if Nebraska fails to beat them?
