Nebraska Huskers are steamrolling everyone on their way. The 2023 Big Ten conference winners continue to make the most of the volleyball season as they once again storm the doors into the NCAA national semis. In their fourth match against the no. 3-seed Arkansas Razorbacks in the regional finals, the Huskers dominated the game and cliched a 3-1 victory.

With that, the Huskers have become the second team after Pittsburg to secure their place in the next round of the NCAA event. The Panthers sealed their spot after trouncing Louisville with a 3-2 victory. And now, the NCAA women’s volleyball account has taken to social media to bask in the Huskers’ glory after the latter’s latest triumph.

Nebraska Huskers seal the deal once again

The official account of the NCAA women’s volleyball has shared a post on X (previously known as Twitter), to announce the Huskers’ recent feat. After four grueling sets, the Nebraska ladies took the match 26-24, 25-14, 25-21, and 25-23. The Huskers have been receiving incredible support from their fans on their NCAA journey. Their latest win was again met with thunderous applause from their loyalists as a fault by the Razorbacks handed the Huskers their last point.

As the Huskers players stormed the court after the Razorbacks’ defeat, the commentator blurts out “A SEA OF RED IS HEADED TO TAMPA“, evidently emotional by the former’s success.

The Arkansas team has been fairly dominating their opponents till now. In their first round, the Razorback registered a 3-0 clan sweep over SFA, while in their second match, they managed a 3-1 win over TCU.

On the other hand, the Huskers have only recorded clean sweeps over all their opponents in all their matches in the NCAA championship this year. LIU, Missouri, and Georgia Tech: none of their foes have been able to hold a candle against the Huskers’ might this time and the Big Ten powerhouse will definitely hope to retain their form as the possibility of them facing arch-rivals the Wisconsin Badgers in the tournament becomes greater.

The NCAA semis full of possibilities

Along with the Huskers, the Pittsburgh Panthers have also registered a nail-biting 3-2 victory over Louisville to enter the Top 4. Recently, 7 of the Panthers have been named to the NCAA East Coast All-Region team.

With the Panthers winning this year’s ACC, they look to forge their reputation further at the NCAA national championship.

The Huskers can face either of the Wisconsin Badgers or the Texas Longhorns as their semifinal opponents. However, the Longhorns will first have to overcome Standford if they wish to proceed to win the tournament.
