Team Nebraska has always been under the spotlight since the beginning of the Big Ten Volleyball Championships. The major reason for this limelight is Nebraska’s key players playing exceptionally well on the volleyball court. In addition, Nebraska’s teamwork has not only displayed prowess on the court but also managed to clinch the top spot at the championships. 

Consecutively, Huskers have been clinching Big Ten Weekly awards each week. As per the recent Weekly Awards, not only one but two of the Huskers have made it to the shine among others at Big Ten Weekly awards. However, this week was less fortunate for the rival’s team as they both settled for one spot each at the same.

Huskers At Big Ten Volleyball Championships

Bergen Reilly, aka Husker’s best setter, has always been the center of attraction at Team Nebraska. Apart from her dominance in the Big Ten Volleyball Championships, Reilly also has a gold at the 2022 Pan American Cup with the title of Best Setter and MVP of the tournament. Recently, she made her team proud by earning her fourth setter of the week award at the Big Ten Volleyball Championships. 

This prestigious award aligns with her remarkable performance, with an average of 11.9 assists in each match against opponents Penn State and Rutgers. In addition, Reilly also helped her team to achieve a .287 hitting percentage while adding 25 digs with a pair of blocks and kills to the list. But she is not the only one getting weekly awards in the first week of November. 

Who are the other Big Ten Players of the Week?

While Bergen Reilly made it to the Big Ten Setter of the Week award, Merritt Beason clinched the Player of the Week award. However, other teams also managed to secure their spots on the list. Eventually, Badger’s Carter Booth was awarded the Defensive Player of the Week, whereas MSU’s Taylah Holdem and Ohio State’s Mia Tuman shared the co-freshman of the Week award.

The dominance of team Nebraska is crystal clear in the championship. The team is not only performing well but also can clinch top spots in the championships, extending from overall ranking to Big Ten Weekly awards. Although the team is proving its caliber while standing atop the podium, the major obstacle to clinching the title of Big Ten Championships is yet to come. They have to get past the formidable Team Wisconsin seeking redemption in the tournament. Watch out for the epic battle.
