The Huskers women are not very keen on maintaining their second rank; with every match, they plan to inch closer and closer to the top spot. As of now, Nebraska Volleyball’s visions in this aspect have been succeeding. Call it domination, but they currently lead the Big Ten Conference with a 7-0 win streak. Notably, even the first-ranked Panthers have fallen to SMU in a conference match, coming down to 6-1.

However, on October 11, it looked like the Huskers’ first loss was inevitable. But, the side snatched a close win from the jaws of defeat as they faced Purdue in a tight match. All this while, it’s safe to say that spectators were on the edge of their seats, as a mere cinematic replay of the game reminded them of the hair-raising contest, spurring them to throw in their reactions.

The minute the fans saw this compilation, one of them commented, “John Baylor is so ridiculously good.” Indeed, for the past 30 years, Baylor has been the voice of Nebraska Volleyball. He is fondly called the GOAT of all volleyball broadcasters by coach John Cook. And it was his energetic and exceptional description that breathed life into the cinematic compilation. Well, in the last two sets, Nebraska Volleyball unleashed their A-game. Starting the fourth set with a bang, they forced Purdue’s coach Dave Shondell to call for a timeout after John Cook’s pupils gained an 8-4 lead.
