“He Had Better Things to Do” Megan Rapinoe ’s Father Who Is an Ardent Donald Trump Supporter, Weighed In on Her Feud With Former President Once

She has been instrumental in her effort to fight for social issues. The USWNT star has found herself surrounded by a pool of controversies due to her unapologetic nature. However, that does not stop her from speaking her mind. Previously, a comment made by Megan on former President Donald Trump raised a lot of eyebrows.

Megan’s father speaks on Donald Trump

Megan Rapinoe’s parents appeared as guests on the podcast ‘Raising Fame: Sports Edition’ hosted by Sonya and Dell Curry. The hosts of the show are the parents of the NBA star Stephen Curry. They spoke on a wide range of topics from Megan’s childhood to her professional career. They revealed the struggles they had to undergo to raise their children.

The former Olympic gold medalist had refused to go to the White House if invited for winning the world cup in 2019. This created a lot of rift on social media. Trump called out Rapinoe, particularly after the team’s bronze medal performance at the Olympics, and said, “the woman with the purple hair [who] played terribly and spends too much time thinking about Radical Left politics and not doing her job!”.

Her father who is an ardent Donald Trump supporter weighed on her feud with the former president and said, “As far as the Trump thing goes, I think he had better things to do, I mean he has got a country to run and I don’t think he needed to go there.” However, he agreed that the remark that she made was totally off the wall.

Megan Rapinoe argued with her father

Megan’s outspoken personality is not just restricted to her public appearance. During an interview with her sister, she revealed that she had a huge argument with her father once. The argument led them to not talk to each other for over a month. Megan’s father was vocal about the fact that he had voted for Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential elections.

Megan Rapinoe has always taken a stand for equality and inclusivity. According to her, Trump was excluding a certain group of Americans. This topic led to a serious fight between the father-daughter duo. Her father started to object to their opinion, but the two sisters snapped back.
