Although the injuries held her back for some time, the soccer genius didn’t seem to be much affected by it. She said in an interview, “I know this sounds weird, but getting hurt was one of the best things that ever happened to me,”. Moreover, she said that they gave her a different perspective.
When she tore her ACL in 2015, nine years after her first tear, she didn’t realize it was going to affect her career. She still took it in the right spirit. Speaking about her confidence, she said, “I do feel super confident in my recovery as I’ve gone through this before and I know what the process will be like.”
