Although the injuries held her back for some time, the soccer genius didn’t seem to be much affected by it. She said in an interview, “I know this sounds weird, but getting hurt was one of the best things that ever happened to me,”. Moreover, she said that they gave her a different perspective.

When she tore her ACL in 2015, nine years after her first tear, she didn’t realize it was going to affect her career. She still took it in the right spirit. The soccer player cum activist said she would do everything to get healthy as soon as possible. Speaking about her confidence, she said, “I do feel super confident in my recovery as I’ve gone through this before and I know what the process will be like.

Rapinoe grateful for failures?

The legendary winger also expressed gratitude for her failures when she said, “I wasn’t really appreciative of what I was doing and what it took to be there.” She said that she rarely acknowledged what was happening until everything was going how it was supposed to be. Talking more about her injury, she said it grounded her in various ways.

The Rehab process is not easy. However, Megan embraced it as well. From her viewpoint, she believes, “The rehab process makes you stronger on all fronts, mentally and physically.” She added that it made her stronger and a better person.
