Soccer icon Megan Rapinoe needs no introduction. In an interview back in 2020, the USWNT legend revealed her biggest nightmare. Given her stature and caliber, the expectation of her is consistently high. While that might sometimes be a motivating factor, on other days, it can be extremely pressurizing. She also talks about how being in the spotlight requires a lot of effort to make fans happy.

Megan Rapinoe is currently the captain of the USWNT. Not only is she considered one of the best female soccer players out there, but she has also taken USWNT’s glories to the next level through her performances. Despite her success, however, there’s something that has always bothered her.
Superstar Megan Rapinoe’s nightmare
Megan Rapinoe has always been confident on and off the field. Leading her team to glory even in the most crucial moments, she has proved she is a force to be reckoned with.
“Now that I’ve played in front of 50,000, 60,000, 70,000 people, my nightmare is to play in front of 2,500,” Rapinoe said back in 2020 and continued, “I see myself as an entertainer as well as an athlete, probably more the former than the latter.”
Having global attention isn’t always as glamorous as it is portrayed. It comes with the added pressure of always being a certain way that fans can appreciate.

Her superstar duties
Not only on the soccer field but also in a fast-paced life, Rapinoe has always voiced her opinion when deemed most important.
