According to the athletes, the team’s head coach, Jorge Vilda, is exceeding his limits of professionalism; he is now invading their personal space. Asking them who they went out to coffee with and checking their bags is beyond the limits. Furthermore, the players claimed that the current circumstances are “dictatorial,” which is not acceptable.

Putting the entire scenario into words, one of Yahoo Sports’ writers threw light on the issue. Meanwhile, legendary soccer player, Alex Morgan, replied to the writer’s tweet and expressed her sadness.

This is so hard to watch knowing the federation is throwing their players under the bus for players asking for better protection, treatment, and professionalism,” wrote Alex Morgan on Twitter. “Players (the BEST players in Spain) deserve so much better.

Vilda’s strict surveillance method is doing more bad than good. The first and foremost noticeable point is the team’s degrading mental and emotional well-being. Due to the same, the athletes are not in their best form, and thus, inferior quality of performance is unavoidable. Moreover, it also led to “undesirable injuries.” Second is their career, which is on hold for now.
