The 2023 WDSF World Breaking Championship in Leuven, Belgium, saw the dancers tuning to the music beats. The breakers had a face-off with each other to gain more points. In a “Cut a rug” moment, the USA B-Boy showcased his talent and ability by attaining the World Breaking Championship title.

The 29-year-old Victor Montalvo is at the top position in the world of Breaking. He secured the glittering gold in the 2023 World Breaking Championship. This title has never been won by an American before, but he did it. He had a face-off with Philip Kim. Philip Kim is a renowned Canadian champion who is popularly known as Phil Wizard. In the 2021 men’s final, Victor lost his win to him. Now he adds more numbers to his wins by reigning this title. His father introduced him to this sport. He developed an inclination towards breaking through his father’s support and love. He always motivated him. Since then, Victor’s dream has been to become a hip-hop breakdancer.

“I feel in shock. I can’t believe I won.”?This was his reaction after winning the title. This was his grand victory after facing three setbacks at the Olympic Qualifiers. “I lost the last three Olympic qualifying events. I kept on placing third. And I was just kind of discouraged. I’m like, All right, can I do it? Is it still possible for me to win one of these events?”?This is exactly what he conveyed and shared after his winning moment. Now, he aims to go fat after securing the slot for the Paris Olympics.

The road to Paris lies free

Victor clears all the roadblocks after his meteoric win. He is determined to go ahead for the Paris Olympics. “I feel like I have a really high chance.” Last year he expressed his wish to the assigned press. With his enthusiasm and energy, he is now uplifted to go far. He started his successful journey in 2011 by winning a domestic event and in 2022, he won the Red Bull BC World Finals. Each victory reaffirmed and strengthened his dream of participating in the Olympics. He is a connoisseur in his field.
