After enduring eleven years as one of the most dominant players in a professional lacrosse league, Paul Rabil decides to take the game into his own hands. Partnering with his brother Mike Rabil, the Rabil brothers attempt to raise the capital, poach the top players, fight off lawsuits, and persevere through a global pandemic to change sports by launching the Premier Lacrosse League. Lacrosse boasts a storied history, having previously been featured at the 1904 and 1908 Olympics. It also made its appearances as a demonstration sport in subsequent Games. With its inclusion in the 2028 Olympics, the world will once again witness the speed, skill, and athleticism that define this thrilling sport.

Since retiring, he has decided to focus on growing the PLL and giving sticks and goals over to next-door neighbors across the US and around the world. He shared that, “having an opportunity as a co-founder of the PLL to be supportive, to recognize that, and sort of bridge others into the game at all different levels is what we’re going to do.” He is the first one to reap more than $1 million in endorsements and didn’t set out to create a direct competitor to the existing pro league, Major League Lacrosse (MLL). And now his worth is way high both in terms of wealth and game.
