With seven gold medals across four different Olympic games, Allyson Felix undeniably had none of the most illustrious Olympics careers. Even though she has officially retired from the tracks, the honors haven’t stopped pouring in. Honoring her legacy, Felix’s alma mater USC has renamed its track field after her. Joining others to express their love, Reddit co-founder and Serena Williams‘s husband, Alexis Ohanian, takes to his social media.

Praising Felix for her incredible achievement and congratulating her on such an honor, the Reddit co-founder has a concise yet powerful message for the Olympics GOAT.

Alexis Ohanian’s special message for the Allyson Felix

USC President Carl L. Folt earlier announced that the university has decided to name one of its fields to honor Allyson. For those unversed, she is a USC alumnus and, over the years, has been closely associated with the university to promote sports. Besides earning the highest number of Olympic medals in track athletics in U.S. history, Felix has earned herself a feat that only a few could achieve.

Felix took to her official Twitter account to share the news with fans. Following this, the Reddit co-founder re-shared the tweet to express his happiness. Sharing his excitement, he wrote, “Well deserved, Titan!! 🤩.” Needless to mention, Ohanian is elated to see Felix getting honored.

Announcing the decision, President Flot  remarked, “The Allyson Felix Field will recognize her immense achievements as a sports legend and Trojan — while also showing our admiration for her role as an entrepreneur, advocate, and champion for women.” Honored by the recent development, sports legend Felix also took to her social media site to express her gratitude.

It has been just over a month since Felix received the prestigious Sports Illustrated’s Muhammad Ali Legacy Award. Now adding one more honor to her long list of awards, Felix feels “humbled and honored.” Unlike others, Felix did not just restrict herself to her athletic accomplishments. She has been an advocate of the systemic changes concerning gender biases that still are still pronounced in the sports industry.

Before joining USC, Felix was already a professional runner. However, it was during her undergraduate degree that she began her successful tenure at World Championships. Winning one medal after another, she eventually earned herself the title of GOAT. She created history by breaking her tie with Carl Lewis to secure medals at five consecutive Olympic Games.
