In Albuquerque, just before Grant Holloway’s emphatic world record in 60mH, the women’s contest in the same event flaunted another American star to own the day. Tia Jones took 7.67 to match the standing world record in her hit run in the USATF indoor championships. But that high-voltage performance couldn’t put her name into the roster for the upcoming World Indoor Championships. Keeping her at bay, the USATF has declared its squad for the championship. Christina Clemons and Masai Russell have earned their places as the bounded choice in the 60mH for the contest. However, in Albuquerque, the 23-year-old sprinter had her top podium finish keeping Clemons in the fourth position. That evening, Russell was not in the vicinity even. But because of undisclosed reasons, the 2x World U20 champion couldn’t find her nomination for the World Indoor Championship. However, except for her curveball, the roster didn’t find much unexpected happening.

Yared Nuguse will face the juggernaut
In other events, the nominations’ choices have flown smoothly. Showing a thorough performance, national indoor champion Vashti Cunningham has entered the high jump event.
