The world champion American shot putter had to bow before Darlan Romani last time in the Beograd final. So this time, Team USA teamed up with Olympian Kibwe Johnson to rectify previous loops in the throw event.

However, despite falling to the Brazilian counterpart at that time, Crouser took a little trouble with his British rival in the short-put event. But this time, the 2x Olympic champion might have to note the British veteran closely. To extend his chance at the World Indoor Championship, the CWG medalist resorted to his family at last. But before bringing his family into the final picture, Scott Lincoln had to go through some comical spillover. The result turned out to be pacifying for every contributing side. 

Scott Lincoln finds his solace among his fans 

The British shot putter Scott Lincoln found his way into the World Indoor Championship’s roster from his country this time as well. However, he couldn’t find a better option to bring his parents to Glasgow to support him. The unavailability of the match ticket was the contributing impasse. So eventually, the 30-year-old track and field athlete turned up to his fans on X, asking for help. “Next up… bit of a long shot… any tickets available for world indoors for the Friday evening? my parents want to come watch!”, the humble yet desperate voice delivered on February 22. Soon, several netizens came up to erase Scott’s agony. That was enough to serve his purpose. 

Just after a few hours, the European Team Championships medalist acknowledged the sort-out on X. “All sorted now thank you to everyone who got in touch!”, Scott Lincoln penned. Reportedly, on March 1, Scott and Ryan Crouser will lock horns to claim the world indoor championship title. Both the stallions faced each other on several occasions. Every time, the American superstar decimated the British champion. However, this time, Scott Lincoln may expect some better results, as he has several factors backing him. 

The World Indoor Championship will display a three-way fight 

This time the British contingent named only Scott Lincoln in the men’s category to maintain the shot put title chance in Glasgow. But for the British luminary, Ryan Crouser might be his worrying factor. In registering his supremacy over another American counterpart, Roger Steen, Scott usurped the Astana Indoor Meet title this year. But Crouser proved to be the unsurmountable peak for him. In their last meet in Budapest in 2023, Lincoln faced a disheartening defeat, scoring only 20.22 compared to Ryan Crouser’s 21.48. But this time, Scott Lincoln is trying to get some internal motivation to beat the American sensation.
