Rodriguez rarely posts on X, and her Instagram profile is set to private. While we don’t know Rodriguez’s birthday, she is from Albuquerque, New Mexico, and attended the New Mexico University. Josh Kerr’s partner earned her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) with Psychology (Major) and Chemistry (Minor) from New Mexico University. Now a resident doctor at the University of Miami, Rodriguez studied at the UNM from 2015 to 2019. Josh Kerr moved from the States when he was 17 and the pair studied in the same university. It was during this time that their relationship blossomed.

Since then Josh Kerr has gone on to pursue his athletic dreams while Larimar Rodriguez has pursued academics. However, track and field have the sport the couple boned over. On her LinkedIn page, the athlete’s fiancée revealed that she was a UNM track and field athlete. In 2016, the doctor also worked as an assistant track and field coach at Bosque School. She designed training protocols and helped lead a team of over 20 athletes.

The 2015 European Junior Championships gold medalist and Larimar Rodriguez formed a strong connection that has stood the test of time. The couple has yet to tie the knot despite getting engaged three years ago. They have focused on their careers, and it’s safe to assume the wedding announcement isn’t coming until at least the 2024 Olympics concludes. The defending 1500m world champion proposed to Larimar Rodriguez in December 2021. On New Year’s Eve, the Team GB track star posted two sweet pictures with the love of his life. “I couldn’t wait any longer, I’m so excited for our future,” wrote Josh Kerr in a short but heartfelt caption. He indicated the fact that they got engaged with a ring and heart emoji alongside the caption.

The couple hasn’t revealed any details regarding their wedding date. They haven’t given any hints of pulling focus away from their careers to start a family either. Josh Kerr plans to get even more busy racing after the Olympics. The British Mile record holder has signed up for Michael Johnson’s Grand Slam Track league. The Olympic bronze medalist expressed his desire to “race more and enjoy being fit,” in an interview with Athletics Weekly. However, no matter what they decide, Josh Kerr and Larimar Rodriguez will continue to support one another in their endeavors.
