Omanyala’s big family and her relationship with her siblings’ kids influenced Laventa’s early years. Her primary education happened at Kaimosi Junior and then at Erusi Girls. At Kaimosi Girls, her father’s passing during her senior year of high school marked a critical time. She did, however, finish school and enroll at Moi University, despite the loss.

Moreover, Laventa took a go at modeling while in college and took on several other jobs to help her out financially. During the 2017 World University Games, she participated in athletics and battled severe rivals for her first international experience. Her plan to become an athlete was temporarily shelved when she discovered she was pregnant after the games.

Further, in 2016 at an athletics tournament, Laventa met Ferdinand Omanyala. Throughout the years, their friendship flourished despite a difficult beginning. Omanyala, who switched from rugby to athletics, left a lasting effect. During team games in Nakuru, they crossed paths again, and after a few meetings, their friendship developed into something more.

The couple’s adorable love story, marriage and children

There were difficulties in their relationship. At first, Laventa disregarded Omanyala’s intentions and friend-zoned him. They eventually began dating as part of Ferdinand’s effort and honesty, winning her over. Even though it was challenging, they managed to compromise and connect to adapt to each other’s preferences and way of life.

When Laventa found out she was pregnant, their relationship took a dramatic shift. This revelation presented additional difficulties, particularly because Omanyala’s position was insecure. Laventa put forth plenty of effort and juggled several jobs to provide for their family and let Omanyala concentrate on his training.“I finished my final semester, got employment, and moved to Nairobi with Ferdinand,” Laventa noted. “I worked until the eve of giving birth. During this period, we both hustled to make ends meet.”

Additionally, with the birth of their son Quinton Finn Omanyala, their lives were filled with happiness and responsibilities. Laventa kept up working hours, frequently forgoing personal time to provide for her family. Despite everything, their relationship got closer. Laventa’s drive is shown by her commitment to supporting her husband’s ambitions while caring for their family. “Choosing to carry my child, I knew my life would change, but his family was very supportive,” added Laventa. “We decided to give our all, and I had to go back to work.”

Furthermore, Laventa’s sporting career also proceeded. Despite her injuries, she aspired to leave a legacy in the long jump after giving birth. Her “path” for athletics is similar to her husband’s commitment. Laventa articulates her aspirations of being connected to the long jump. She intends to take things day by day in 2024 and work on improving her sports career gradually while avoiding pressure. “I’m not doing heavy training and I’m just taking a day at a time,” she claimed. “I want God to take charge because his plans are very different.”

Thus, the rise of Ferdinand and Laventa Omanyala from youthful athletes to a loving couple reflects their commitment. Their happy and challenging romance is a motivation to many. They stand by each other through good times and bad, encouraging one another to keep pursuing their goals.
