After finishing 7th in the 400m sprint at the World Athletics Championship in Budapest, the Bahamian prodigy stood atop the podium at the Zurich Diamond League by clinching the gold. The Bahamas native remained absent from the track and field world for almost a year owing to her pregnancy. Following this, she gave birth to a beautiful, healthy boy in April 2023, and four months later, she made a triumphant return to the sport at the 2023 World Athletics Championship, where she clocked 52,65 seconds and finished 7th.

Interestingly, soon after marking her comeback in Hungary, the sprinter graced the Swiss arena and bagged the triumph after finishing first in the 400m sprint in 51,83 seconds.
