While Noah Lyles Returns, Many US Favorites’ Absence Brings Disheartening Update For Fans At New Balance Indoor Grand Prix 2024

As January 2024 comes to an end, athletes are gearing up for the upcoming sports season. Therefore, the realm of track and field is anticipating the upcoming New Balance Indoor Grand Prix 2024. The major reason for fans awaiting eagerly is the return of sprinting legend Noah Lyles in the tracks. 

However, as the spotlight shines on Noah’s incredible comeback, a disheartening undercurrent sweeps throughout the event. Unfortunately, spectators are quite disappointed this season as the event is marked by the notable absence of multiple cherished USA’s favorite athletes. 

Track and field news: Bittersweet celebration

Being known for his explosive speed and charisma, Noah Lyles has recently taken centre stage as he made a long-awaited return to competitive action. However, his return to the arena has become bittersweet as there are various star athletes absent from the scene. To share this disheartening news among the spectators, Owen M took to its Twitter account and posted a tweet, mentioning,”New Balance sponsored athletes Trayvon Bromell, Femke Bol & Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone won’t be competing at this year’s New Balance Indoor Grand Prix.”

Even though all the track and field stars are New Balance Sponsored, they have added a twist to the event. To the spectator’s surprise, two-time world Bronze medalist Trayvon Bromell, 2X world championship silver medalist Femke Bol and World Championship silver medalist Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone will be absent from the tournament. 

Interestingly, there is, as such, no update by the US’s favorites about their absence from the tournament. But, they are moving forward to participate in other championships instead of the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix. However, this is different with Noah Lyles. 

What would the Grand Prix look like after the absence of some US favorites?

Commencing on February 4th, 2204, The New Balance Indoor Grand Prix is a significant part of the World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold. Therefore, Noah Lyles has extended his hand to grasp this opportunity to make a remarkable start this year. But, it is more than just the title that Noah Lyles will get at the event.

By winning the tournament, Noah Lyles will be getting $10,000, along with a coveted spot at the 2024 World Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasglow. Apart from Noah, there are other track and field sensations that would be featured at the event, including world-famous Gabby Thomas.
