This year?s World Athletics championship has been dominated by US athletes. Sha?Carri Richardson, who is in her best form after winning the US track and field championship, gained a new title at the event. The Texas-based sprinter surpassed the Jamaican legends on the tracks of the Athletics Championship held in Budapest this year and took home the victory.

Interestingly, amid all the wishes and a congratulatory messages that Richardson garnered, one stood out. Noah Lyles, who has also secured a win at the event, honored Sha?Carri? Richardson on Twitter as the two top-notch athletes pave the way for USA athletics toward the pinnacle. Lyles, who is looking forward to his next race, also raised an interesting question in his tweet.

The 100-meter race squad has brought back the glory of America this year, as top-tier athletes, Noah Lyles and Sha’Carri Richardson have secured gold in the 100-meter men’s and women’s races this season. Following their triumphs, Noah Lyles posted an interesting intrigue on his Twitter handle. While highlighting the win of Sha’Carri Richardson, the athlete penned, “When was the last time the US won the men’s and women’s 100m in the same year?”

On 21st August Sha’carri Richardson secured gold by surpassing two Jamaican legends, Shericka Jackson and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, at the 100m finals. Sha’Carri Richardson, with an electrifying performance, completed the race in 10.65 seconds. While Jackson and Fraser-Pryce clocked in at 10.72 and 10.77, respectively.

On the other hand, On August 20, Noah Lyles, who began the race trailing behind the other sprinters, secured a gold medal with a time of 9.83 seconds. The 26-year-old Noah Lyles left behind Letsile Tebogo, representing Botswana, who claimed silver with 9.88 seconds. While British record-breaking sprinter, Zharnel Hughes secured the bronze at the event. Apart from these two extraordinary wins, the US was able to secure another huge win in the hurdles race. The US sprinter Grant Holloway was able to clinch his third gold title at the World Athletics Championship.

USA hurdler winning third consecutive title

Apart from the highly anticipated win by Sha’Carri Richardson on the third day of the event, 25-year-old Grant Holloway managed to win his third consecutive title at the World Athletics Championship. Holloway who has won the 110-meter hurdle race in Doha (2019), and Eugene (2022) finished the race in 12.96 seconds.

The world?s second-fastest hurdler left behind Olympic medalist Hansle Parchment, who clocked in at 13.07. While another hurdler from Team USA, Daniel Roberts, secured bronze with a 13.09.

In essence, this year’s season has been one of the greats for the USA. Hopefully, Lyles, who is participating in a 200-meter event, will add one more gold to the staunch medal list of the USA. Nonetheless, this year, with their top-notch performance, the American sprinters stood atop the podium with their incredible triumphs on the tracks of Budapest.
