As per the report published in sunnewsonline,74-year-old Okoh, a chemistry graduate and medical doctor by profession, defied expectations by participating in the Okpekpe Marathon. Despite his age, he embarked on the 10-kilometer race, driven not by monetary incentives but by the desire to inspire Nigerian youths. In an interview, Okoh emphasized the importance of physical fitness and mental development through engaging in activities like marathon running.
He acknowledged the positive impact they have had on the village, Edo State, and Nigeria as a whole. On a question about his participation, he said, “I am not after the monetary incentive, but apart from exercising my body, I want to serve as motivation for the youths, especially Nigerians.”
