In an interview, Okoh emphasized the importance of physical fitness and mental development through engaging in activities like marathon running.
He acknowledged the positive impact they have had on the village, Edo State, and Nigeria as a whole. On a question about his participation, he said, “I am not after the monetary incentive, but apart from exercising my body, I want to serve as motivation for the youths, especially Nigerians.”
He believes that if he, as an elderly individual, can conquer the challenges of the race, there should be no barriers preventing younger generations from participating. He talked briefly about his participation and elaborated on why he takes part in such races even at this age.
