‘Traitor’, and ‘Backstabber’ remained a few of the titles Junelle Bromfield had to hear when it came to facing online hate from her countrymen. The allegation was that she had leaked confidential statements regarding the Jamaican dressing room to her boyfriend, Noah Lyles. In fact, in one of his online interviews, Noah said that he had a few ideas regarding the tantrums of the nemesis dressing room. “I have been getting the drama from Jamaican camps for at least five years now,” he went to say. That left Bromfield in the hot water.
As the day passed by, the heat increased. Initially, the Olympic medalist tried to keep her eyes away from the staunch online hate. In one of her Instagram stories, the 26-year-old put, “Living my best life because all these insult in the comments ain’t paying for these class flight!!” Meanwhile, she could be seen enjoying her moment in a lavish class on the flight. But she was already feeling the effects of the harm. Junelle eventually had to talk about the matter.
On August 23, she burst out, “I have been getting cyber bullied for weeks and when it gets talked about, I’m a liar because no Jamaican was coming for my features.” But in the comment box, Noah Lyles appeared with the pacifying tone, “Baby, you are and will always be an inspiration to all little girls feeling this exact way.” That has been Lyles for his belle. And for such a role, he has received flowers from his Jamaican girlfriend.

In her recent conversation with Simone N Clarke, Junelle Bromfield agreed to the role played by Lyles in her dark times by suggesting her therapy. Even when Simone said, he’s like, you won’t allow yourself to live even in that space where you’re only know when you’re because you’re afraid to go back,” Bromfield nodded her head in agreement. That is the reason why Junelle has not landed in Jamaica after her endeavor at the Paris Olympics.

At first, the Olympic medalist showed up with her boyfriend in New York. Later, she took part in the ramp walk at the prestigious New York Fashion Week. Yesterday, when Lyles shared a carousel of his homecoming on Instagram, Junelle penned, “Fun visiting your hometown ❤️you are loved🫂”. That hit a different nerve as she is facing all the heat from her countrymen while her boyfriend receives a champion’s welcome in his home. The situation has been that ironic for her till now. But the reigning Olympic champion knows that his lady love has the strength to pierce through the black cloud. He has stamped on that.
Noah Lyles stands with the ‘fighter’ Junelle Bromfield
Since the beginning, Noah Lyles has kept a tab on the fiasco and for a single moment, he has left Junelle alone in this battle. Instead, he has applauded the Jamaican athlete’s tenacity. In his conversation with People, the six-time world champion unambiguously said, “We’re both Olympic medalists, we’re both two-time Olympians, we’ve been to multiple world championships together. And even though our journeys are different, we still are fighters and we have a lot of the same qualities.” This mentality of fighting back head-on binds them in a single thread. Moreover, Noah’s mom has remained not far behind.

Keisha Caine Bishop has also served as a warmth for Junelle Bromfield. As the guardian, she has taken up the responsibility of making her son’s girlfriend feel at home. As part of that, Bishop has tried to include her in every little moment. One such occasion has come when Noah’s mom took Bromfield to their mango cultivation area. Additionally, she gifted the Jamaican a mango tree, which is quite rare in the island nation. Let’s hope these efforts work as the medicine to Junelle’s burn.
