Recently, USA’s track and field athletes have added medals to the collection. With the phenomenal hammer throw, these track and field athletes not only emerged victorious in the tournament but also showed prowess on the field. However, only one track and field American athlete managed to clinch a gold on Wednesday.?

On a rainy day and cold night, USA’s athletes passed with flying colors. They not only added a medal to the collection but also inspired people with their performance in harsh weather. In a recent Tweet by USATF, it was captioned, “On a rainy, cold night, DeAnna Price won the hammer with a 72.34, De’Vion Wilson took silver in the 110H in 13.78, and Alaysha Johnson went 13.19 for 100H bronze.”

While DeAnna Price recorded a Hammer throw at 72.34 meters, De’Vion secured a silver medal at 13.78 meters in high jump. In addition, Alaysha Johnson, following the team, added a bronze medal (hurdles) in 100H at 13.19 meters. Eventually, track and field athletes added a bronze, silver, and gold medal to the collection of Team USA.?
Alaysha Johnson settled with a bronze medal in the 100H, whereas De’Vion secured silver in the 110H category. On the other hand, DeAnna managed to stand atop the podium, achieving her first Pan American Gold. Even though it was the first ever Pan American games experience for DeAnna Price, she showcased all of her hammer-throwing skills on the field. However, this is not the only achievement by DeAnna this year.?

Apart from shining in the Pan American Games, DeAnna boosts World Championship gold in 2023 in Hammer. She recorded 77.54 meters and an exceptional 1215 score, clinching the IAAF World Championships title in Athletics. In addition to this, DeAnna is also an American record holder with an 80.31-meter throw secured at U.S. Olympic trials held in Eugene, OR.
Overall, all the participating athletes in the Track and Field event have ignited the expectations of USA’s track and Field spectators. Being known for taking unexpected turns, the Pan American Games has many more events scheduled this week.
