The world of athletics is currently as busy as it can be, and track and field takes the center of attention. With each day comes new revelations, exciting results, and new records that are being passed down like a relay baton from one player to another. It has been 3 days since Sha’Carri Richardson made an enviable record in the 100m race at USATF. After Jamaican star Shericka Jackson broke her record at the National Championships within 24 hours, she also broke another American’s record in 200m. Now, in a turn of events, the latter American has claimed her title back in 200m, setting the stage for a perfect US-Jamaica rivalry.

Not unlike Sha’Carri Richardson, Shericka Jackson couldn’t hold on to the record for more than a day, as Gabby Thomas made a new record. With her lean physique, Thomas has made her arrival in style, and she is here to remain. This further intensifies the rivalry between the two track-and-field-loving nations.
