Her impressive time of 11 seconds in the 100 meters and 22.43 seconds in the 200 meters at 2023 Nike Outdoor Nationals at Hayward Field has established her as one of the most promising high school athletes in the country. In the World U-20 Championships last year, Mia demonstrated her capabilities by finishing seventh in the 100m and fourth in the 200m.

With this competition, her aim is to make it to the senior team so that she can compete in the World Championships in Hungary.
