Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is not just a football star but also boasts an impressive track record. He’s shown his speed on the track with runs of 10.19 seconds in the 100 meters and 20.14 seconds in the 200 meters in Orlando in 2012. However, despite his success in track and field, it seems another NFL player might pose a significant challenge to his track and field records.

According to a recent post by RoriDunk on X, South Carolina football star Nyck Harbor has achieved an impressive feat by qualifying for the NCAA nationals in both the 100m and 200m events. Harbor showcased his exceptional speed with stunning times of 10.12 seconds and 20.20 seconds in the respective races, leaving spectators amazed. These performances put him on a par with Tyreek Hill, widely regarded as the fastest player in the NFL.

Alongside being a track athlete, Nyck Harbor is also an American football wide receiver for the South Carolina Gamecocks. In August 2023, he topped Bruce Feldman’s annual college football “Freaks List”. Harbor’s prowess on the football field has garnered significant attention, making him a standout athlete in college sports. Similarly, Tyreek Hill, while primarily known for his NFL career, has also achieved impressive victories in track and field.

Tyreek’s notable performances include running the 60 meters with a time of 6.64 seconds in 2014. Hill’s remarkable times extend to the 100 meters in 9.98 seconds with a +5.0 wind in 2013. Additionally, he ran the 200-meter short track in 20.57 seconds in Albuquerque on March 14, 2014, and achieved a long jump of 7.28 meters on May 12, 2012. Notably, he was even praised by Christian Coleman for his victories.

Christian Coleman acknowledged Tyreek Hill’s impressive victory at the USA Track Masters Indoor Championship in 2023. But he was also confident that the Miami Dolphins star wouldn’t be able to beat him. Coleman noted that Hill made a strategic choice by competing in a masters event, saying, “He knew what he was doing going to a masters event. Not going up against real pros who might have a chance to beat him.” In his first track meet since 2014, Hill dominated the competition, winning the men’s 60 meters with a time of 6.70 seconds.

However, the wide receiver still lags behind by almost 30 milliseconds. At the World Athletics Indoor Championships 2024 in Glasgow, Coleman blazed through the final race in 60m with a world-leading time of 6.41 seconds. In a conversation with TMZ Sports, Coleman praised Hill’s performance as “In my opinion it was impressive. Major respect for getting out there and actually running. I would say for a season opener, 6.70, I don’t know when’s the last time he actually ran. So, it’s pretty impressive to me,” but firmly stated that Hill would never “be able to beat me.”
