Quincy Wilson’s popularity isn’t something to be surprised about. Becoming the youngest US men’s track and field Olympic gold medalist in history in Paris earlier this year, the high schooler has big ambitions for the future. But success like this cannot come without support, and the 16-year-old has plenty of it to keep him on track.
On November 21, SportsCenter Next took to Instagram to highlight how the Bullis High School athlete is on the fast track to becoming a superstar. Captioned “The sky is the limit for Quincy Wilson,” the post elaborates on how Wilson is ready to take on extra responsibilities for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Looking at his determination, the track star’s girlfriend, Solai Russell, a track athlete herself, hopped over to the comment section to express her admiration for Quincy.
“My heart,” wrote Olympic gold medalist Masai Russell’s younger sister in the IG update, showing love for her bae. Given Wilson’s goal to maintain his momentum to LA28, Russell’s support could help the former to carry on with his winning streak for the days to come. However, her faith in Quincy’s abilities isn’t misplaced, especially with the resolute mindset that’s laid bare in the post’s accompanying video.

The video also mentions how Wilson’s blazing 44.59-second finish at the US Olympic Team Trials was truly a performance to behold and how he went on to make history in Paris later.
