Ever since his last injury, his only focus has been on how to come back, and that too really fast. He has set a record for the second-fastest time ever indoors. Adding more spice to it, this record stands second to his very own world-best record. Back to full health, Steven Gardiner has again become a champion on record and in people’s hearts by winning at the South Carolina Invitational.

 

With Matthew Boling and Matt Hudson-Smith securing the second and third positions respectively they had a tough fight amongst themselves during the race. Steven allured everyone with his charming performance by finishing the track in just 31.78 seconds. Matthew and Matt also missed by fate their first positions. Both of them made a record of 32.84s and 33.82s, respectively. Steven Gardiner has proved his metal here in this moment. But who had known that a heavy injury too could not shake his conviction of always being the best?

What was the injury about last year?

The injury of Steven Gardiner in the year 2023, was heartbreaking for many of his fans. During his semi-finals of the 400m track race, his tendons suffered a grade 1 sprain. This injury extended to the whole of his right knee, because of which he had to take a break from his physical routine.
