Global sports media company FloSports, which operates FloTrack, a prominent track and field platform, secured exclusive broadcasting rights for the Diamond League recently. This action has sparked widespread outrage among track enthusiasts worldwide, igniting debates over accessibility, inclusivity, and the future of the sport’s viewership.
Starting in 2025, Flotrack will be the official broadcast partner of Diamond League. Many contend that limiting coverage to a single provider could alienate a significant portion of the fan base, particularly those who rely on free-to-air or widely accessible channels to follow their favorite events.
FloSports, which has signed a multi-year media rights agreement with the Wanda Diamond League, gives access to many of the world’s top Track and Field events. The Crown Jewel of the agreement is the Diamond League, which hosts 15 of the best athletics meetings in the world, with the men and women competing in 16 of the sports’s primary disciplines.

Diamond League discontent: Fans rally against FloTrack’s broadcast contract
This post let the audience rage when Owen M reposted it on X handle with the caption, “THE SPORT IS F*CKED. THEN THOSE SAME PEOPLE WONDER WHY THE SPORT IS STRUGGLING?!?!?!?! I don’t even live in the USA, but this decision is outrageous.”
This is really fucked up. Cos I already paid for my peacock subscription just because of track season, now that’s a total waste of money. I hate this sport!!!!

Another fan expressed anger saying this decision was wrong,
This decision is not helpful. Kinda rediculous.
— CoachNicole (@CoachNicole6) April 10, 2024
Next fan said that this decision should be fired immediately stating,
Whoever decided this was a smart decision needs to be fired immediately cause who the fuck thought going to the most hated track outlet was a good idea. $150 a year for horrible coverage of track and is Flotrack even viewable on your tv 🤦🏾♂️

Other fan hoped for future not to happen again and exclaimed,
Just hope it doesn't happen here in the future 😳… via a bid by Vinco/Runnerspace … or if Flotrack decided to go international. Just hope nobody pays the Flotrack subscription in the USA and watches the DL's free on a VPN
