Tara Davis-Woodhall is taking a liking to a slow-paced life! Now, this might sound absurd, as the Olympic champion has been anything but slow in her career. Eyeing an Olympic gold medal, both Tara and her husband, Hunter Woodhall, ended up getting their dreams dashed. While Hunter managed to get a bronze medal, Tara ended up sixth at the Tokyo Olympics. But the couple did not give up hope.
Come the Paris Olympics, Tara Davis-Woodhall was shedding tears of joy as she finally won the coveted gold medal. But her joy was about to be doubled. Just a month after the Olympics, Hunter Woodhall too, got his hands on the Paralympic gold medal, competing in the 400m T62 event. And all this while, the duo has been sitting in the stands, jumping up and down and cheering for their respective partners.
Now then, with the Olympic dreams checked off the list, the duo will now be concentrating on their path forward. Carrying her medal in her purse, Davis-Woodhall still seems to be reeling in the golden past. However, the couple has their new goal in front of them. They now want to qualify for the LA28 Olympics. To pursue their dream, the power couple has relocated to Kansas.

Adjusting to the slow-paced day-to-day life of Kansas, Tara Davis-Woodhall seems to be enjoying the vibe a lot. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Davis-Woodhall shared her experience shifting to Kansas. She said, “Hunter and I thought it was best to follow him and continue our track career because we want to go to L.A. 2028 [Olympics]… I like the country, I like not being in a big city — it’s not my thing.”
Well, the duo announced their shift of homes during an October 29 YouTube video named ‘Moving Into Our New House.’ A major reason for the shift was Travis Geopfert, the mutual coach of both Hunter and Tara. Geopfert took on a new role as the director of track and field and cross country at Kansas State University.

This was when the Olympic champions thought that it was in their best interest to follow Geopfert to better their preparations for the future. However, the shift of house is not a new thing for the Woodhall couple. In fact, over the years, the duo has bought quite a lot of properties, investing significantly in real estate.

This was not all. In 2022, the couple bought a 7-acre land for $419,000. The site still awaits development, with a pond and biking trails lining up the property. Finishing off, the duo also got their hands on a couple of more properties in 2021—bought for a sum of $260,000 and $240,000, respectively.
