“Love is the canvas on which we paint our dreams, ultimately creating a masterpiece.” In that spirit, Tara Davis-Woodhall and Hunter Woodhall are busy crafting their own beautiful story. If you’re a bit confused, let me clear that up: this couple is the perfect example of relationship goals. They first met at a high school track meet in 2017, and ever since, they’ve been inseparable, showing that they can weather any storm together. They’ve steered the ship through the ups and downs of long-distance love while chasing their athletic dreams.
Recently, on their YouTube channel, “Tara and Hunter,” which boasts 899K subscribers, they shared a vlog titled “We’re Leaving Home.” In this vlog, the couple documented their move to Manhattan, Kansas, and it was clear they were feeling a bit overwhelmed and slightly unprepared since the movers were set to arrive in just two hours! They opened up about their hectic schedule, filled with non-stop travel and events like NASCAR in Kansas City, leaving them with barely any time to pack for the big move.

Tara revealed that they had made a detailed list of everything they needed to do on an American Airlines napkin, but they hadn’t made much progress on packing. While she worked on organizing different parts of the house, she still felt disoriented and underprepared for the move. The couple added a touch of humor to their situation as they shared amusing moments of miscommunication, such as their uncertainty about the exact day the movers were scheduled to arrive, which only added to their stress.
It hasn’t always been rainbows and sunshine for Tara and Hunter, but they’ve managed to weather the storms together with love. They tied the knot in 2022 and made their Olympic debut at the 2024 Paris Games. Now, it seems they’re ready to kick off an exciting new chapter as they prepare to move to a new place!
Until now, they have been calling a charming two-story house in Fayetteville, Arkansas, their home, which they bought for $480,000 in early 2021. Hunter had purchased that lovely spot, and it had been a great fit for them. With a vaulted ceiling, a cozy brick fireplace, and an open layout perfect for entertaining, it was easy to see why they loved it. Built-in 2019, this three-bedroom home had 2.5 baths, a kitchen with stainless appliances, and a sweet deck by the front door. But it was time for a change as they took that exciting step forward and embraced what was next!
Despite the laughter and jokes, there’s a sense of sadness about leaving their current home as they reminisce about their experiences and memories tied to the place. Tara admits that she hasn’t fully processed the reality of the move and anticipates becoming emotional during the packing process. Throughout the vlog, there’s a mix of lighthearted humor, nostalgia, and stress as they try to navigate the chaos of the move together. However, the track and field community has definitely noticed all of this, rallying around the couple with support and love.

When Tara Davis-Woodhall returned to the United States after the 2024 Paris Games, she was greeted with a surprise welcome home party worthy of her gold medalist status. As a Paralympic sprinter preparing to return to Paris for the 2024 Paralympic Games himself, Hunter took the time to orchestrate this heartfelt celebration. He shared a TikTok video showing him gathering red, white, and blue balloons, along with American flag decorations, to create a festive atmosphere. “I made it home, and we’re going to throw a surprise party for Tara,” he says in the video.
The touching moment unfolded as Tara arrived at the airport in Arkansas, proudly dancing with her gold medal, which she affectionately named Philippe. “The gold medal has made it home. You’re in Arkansas, Philippe!” she exclaimed, her excitement palpable. As Hunter drove her to her favorite local pizzeria in Springdale, Tara was utterly shocked to see a large crowd gathered to welcome her back. Overwhelmed with emotion, she gasped, “Whoa,” before breaking down in tears amid the sounds of cheering and honking horns.
Another fan added, “Geez…I wanna cry too and I’m not even the one moving! I still remember watching the video where you went house shopping and found that house. It’s crazy to think that was only 3 1/2 years ago and now you’re both Olympic\Paralympic gold medalists.” One more added, “Congratulations 🏡🍾. The Woodhalls are inspiring duo & a whole vibe . Next chapter of the journey is now, best of everything 🥂”
