In a YouTube video posted by Lyles, titled “How to Get Faster During Off-Season,” Lyles shares with fans his daily routine. He started the video by saying a lot of people wondered how he worked out during the off-season. He continues saying, “Well, the simple answer is I don’t. There is no reason to work out because I’m on break. I’m not going to go through my off-season and try and work out”.

Casually strolling to his kitchen, Lyles spots a box of delectable doughnuts, which he eagerly opens with a smile. He continues, “But if I’m not letting my body recover, then what the heck was the point of the off-season? I need to sleep, I need to eat, and I need to enjoy life. Get a little fat. Put a little weight on it naturally. Go on vacation. Enjoy the year that I didn’t get to have by having fun”.

Lyles emphasizes that the competitive season is over, and he’s earned this break. With a light-hearted spirit, he advises anyone contemplating intensive off-season training, “Don’t”. He takes a seat on his couch, surrounded by cereal boxes and snacks, proclaiming, “It’s your time to relax. I can promise you, I’m going to be doing a whole lot of nothing.” The backing track of the light-hearted video was “Paint the Town Red by Doja Cat”. This video comes just days after Lyles went on vacation with his lady love, Junelle Bromfield.

Track and Field stars in vacation mode

Lyles and his girlfriend, Junelle Bromfield, a talented Jamaican track and field athlete, took action together for some much-deserved downtime. They basked in the luxury of a stunning hotel room and enjoyed a poolside retreat at Sandals South Coast, a tropical paradise.
